Competition Terms & Conditions

1 Introduction

1.1 This competition is being run by, or on behalf of, Halo Furnishings Limited ("Halo").  Please direct all correspondence in connection with the competition to Halo via beautifullyreal@haloliving.co.uk or via post to Beautifully Real Day Competition, Halo Furnishings, Charles Madan Works, Atlantic Street, Broadheath WA14 5DA.

2. Eligibility  

2.1 This competition is open only to UK residents aged 18 years of age and over, excluding employees of Halo (or any company within the same group as Halo), their families, agencies or anyone professionally connected with the competition.  By submitting an entry to this competition, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. Any entries made by agents or third parties on behalf of an entrant will be invalid.

3. To Enter

3.1 The competition ends on 20 December 2008. Any entries received by Halo after the closing date will not be included in the competition.

3.2 Entry to the competition is free and no purchase of goods or services from Halo is necessary.

3.3 Halo does not accept any responsibility for lost, delayed, damaged or incomplete entries. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery of the entry form.

3.4 Failure to comply with any of these terms and conditions will result in the disqualification of the entry and Halo reserves the right to disqualify any entry, at any time, at its absolute discretion in such circumstances.

4. To Win

4.1 The winners will be chosen by a panel of judges selected by Halo and will be notified by e-mail or post within 28 days of the closing date of the competition. The winning entries will be chosen from those entries who have correctly answered the question and who, in the judge's sole opinion, have chosen the most appropriate 'beautifully real' day within the requirements of the competition.

4.2 The decision of the judges will be final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding such decision.

5. Prize

5.1 There is one main prize available and two runners up prizes of £500 worth of Halo products. The main prize will reflect the prize winner's 'Beautifully Real' day. Whilst all efforts will be made to accurately replicate their day as per their entry, Halo reserves the right to provide an alternative or substitute prize. Each prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered. Halo reserves the right to provide a substitute prize of similar value should the prize granted become unavailable for reasons beyond its control. The prize must be taken by no later than 31 March 2009 and will be forfeited by the prize winner if not taken by this date.

5.2 If a winner of the competition is unable to receive a prize for any reason, Halo reserves the right to award it to an alternative winner, in which case the original winner will not be eligible for any share of the prize whatsoever or any alternative prize.

6. Use of Entries

6.1 All entries, photographs, and other material submitted as part of a competition entry shall become the property and the copyright of Halo. By entering into this competition the entrant hereby assigns to Halo all copyright in such material. Halo reserves the right to publish such material in whole or in part or use them in any way it thinks fit without the permission of the entrant or payment for such use (but subject always to the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1988).

6.2 By entering into this competition via Halo's website, entrants agree to comply with the website's terms and conditions of use.

7. Winning entry Details

7.1 The name of the winners and the winning entries will be sent to those persons requesting such information providing that such request is put in writing, together with a stamped addressed envelope and is received by Halo within 3 months of the closing date.

8. Data Privacy

8.1 By entering this competition and ticking the box at the bottom of the entry form, entrants agree that Halo may contact them from time to time in the future about new products and services available from Halo and that Halo may also, if it believes it will be of interest to entrants, pass on the entrant's details to third parties who may contact them about their products and services. Entrants who do not wish their contact details to be used in this way should not tick the box.

9. Winner Publicity

9.1 Entrants accept that if they win a prize Halo will have the right to use their name, age, town of residence and likeness for the purposes of announcing the winners of the competition and for promotional purposes.

10. Rules

10.1 Please retain a copy of these rules for your reference.

11. Laws and Jurisdiction

11.1 These terms and conditions shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with English Law and shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England.

11.2 If any of these terms and conditions should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable for any reason, then that provision shall be severed and deleted from these terms and the remaining terms and conditions shall survive and continue to be binding and enforceable.
