Halo has an established heritage in supplying extraordinary upholstery to create the very best in modern vintage living. Classic design details are reinterpreted to create a contemporary product that translates the heritage of its inspiration. The traditional charm of a leather armchair, the ageless beauty of an elegant sofa – every Halo piece reflects timeless, considered design as well as dedicated craftsmanship.
We are recognised for using the finest materials – stunning, uncorrected aniline leather, and rich, sumptuous fabrics that adorn high quality hard wood frames. Each piece of our leather has evolved through an intensive tanning process, where we treat the hide with natural oils and waxes to give its superior finish. Our leather maintains its natural characteristics, therefore no Halo sofa or armchair is exactly the same – making it unique to you.
We have our own tanning laboratory which allows us to offer a range of exclusive leather finishes unique to Halo. We are continuously experimenting with finishes and techniques to create new leathers.
Old Saddle – Aniline leather with a full wax pull up hide that has a distinctive feel with a slightly worn sheen. It has a soft creamy handle and is reminiscent of old riding boots or a saddle which is ideal for upholstered items.
We offer the Old Saddle leather in 3 finishes – Nut, Black and Cocoa.
Biker – Like an old biker jacket, the finish has many steps in achieving this final look. This trade secret finishing adds softness to the vintage leather but retains the old worn look and handle. It has a slight whitening on the finishing treatment to appear very similar to an old biker jacket.
We offer the Biker leather in 2 finishes - Tan and Dark Brown.
Vintage – To produce the vintage effect, our craftsmen carefully hand finish each piece in a variety of ageing processes – each taking a considerable amount of time and detailed work. The vintage effect creates a look which is not only unique but will not fade over time, giving you the vintage look for years to come.
We offer the Vintage leather in 2 finishes – Cigar and Ebony. (please note only available for trunks and occasional chairs)
It takes approximately 12 hours to polish a sofa and 8 hours to polish a chair. Each stud in every upholstery item is applied individually by hand and then antiqued.
